"From Planting to Pruning to Removing.... The Country Arborist is Charleston Illinois Full Service Tree Care Specialists"
I graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1999, and now I am a tree climber, pruner and planter! My interest in arboriculture began in 2007, and now I am training with an ISA Certified Arborist. Through self study, my fascination with trees grew immensely. My formal training began with ACRT Inc in Akron, Ohio after completing the Basic Arborist Class. After my team passes that class, we'll return for the Advanced Arborist Class. We're all CPR and Basic First Aid Certified. All of this is in prepartion to become an ISA Certified Arborist soon. Another personal goal is to plant over 1,000,000 trees before my 50th birthday. That is my current roadmap, and I am very excited about the future.
Trees are an amazingly integral part of this earth...and our lives. Trees are silent miracle workers. The complexity of their vascular system, structural design, defense mechanisms and functional benefits attest to the prominence and respect that trees deserve in our landscape. They work moment by moment the way they were designed...so we can breathe!
The pillars of life
Trees frame life, providing shade, oxygen, food, homes, heat and of course, building materials. Trees are universal, they house our swings and tree houses; they overlook our first kisses and marriage proposals. There are an estimated 100,000 different species of trees comprising a quarter of all living plant species around the world.
Spread among the billions of trees around the globe are a few special ones, especially worthy of attention. Here are seven of the world's most amazing trees. (Text: Shea Gunther)
